Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about what Mage Mailer does — and what it deliberately does not do.

Questions

Is Mage Mailer a bulk email platform?

No. Mage Mailer is built around personal outreach. Messages are created per contact, can be reviewed individually, and are released through a controlled sending queue at a human pace.

Do I need my own domain?

Your own authenticated sending domain is recommended — Mage Mailer generates the DNS records for you and verifies them in-app. If you do not have DNS access, a platform sender option is available with a required Reply-To to your real mailbox.

Where does prospect information come from?

Mage Prospect Finder uses Google Maps-style business data combined with contact enrichment. Every field returned — business facts, the person found, emails with validation status, social profiles, and optional Company Insights — is stored on the prospect and carried onto the contact.

Does Mage Mailer validate email addresses?

Yes. You can validate a single contact, a selection, or an entire list. Validation status is stored on the contact, and invalid addresses are never queued.

What are Mage AI Tokens?

Mage AI Tokens are the plan resource used by Mage AI features such as contact research, website review, email writing, grading and revision, image generation, and campaign planning. Usage by feature is shown on the Resources page and in the AI Prompt Log.

What are Prospect Credits?

Prospect Credits are used by Mage Prospect Finder. Standard prospects use one credit; searches with Company Insights use two credits per processed prospect. Credits are reserved before a run and settled on the businesses actually processed — unused reserved credits are released.

Can I import contacts?

Yes. CSV import is supported with column mapping (including automatic guesses) and duplicate handling. Existing contacts are attached to the chosen list without duplication, and source and consent are recorded.

Can I use Mage Mailer with another application?

Yes. Mage Mailer exposes API tokens for supported list and contact API functions, so a form or another system can add a contact to a list with its source and consent recorded.

Can Mage Mailer automate LinkedIn connection requests?

No. Mage Mailer does not automate LinkedIn or any social network. The Social Media worklist walks you through a list contact by contact: open each profile, perform the outreach yourself, then mark the profile as processed with an optional note so progress is tracked in one place.

Does Mage Mailer guarantee legal compliance?

No. Mage Mailer includes built-in CAN-SPAM-style compliance features and safeguards — compliance footer, one-click unsubscribe, suppression, consent tracking, a send-time compliance gate, and an audit log — but users remain responsible for their own legal obligations in the jurisdictions they contact.
